The Department of Health chose Oldham Council to be involved in the nationwide
"Communities for Health" programme.
 
Reel 9 Media were commissioned by The Oldham Council to describe, highlight, and promote the great work that has been taking place
within the local communities

We are currently designing and implementing a great new website for Arnfield Fly Fishery. Check out our progress at www.arnfield-fly-fishery.com

Once the website is complete, it will feature a short promotional video that can downloaded/viewed from the site.

Induction, Training & Safety DVD

The staff at Sheffield cable water-ski have to deliver health & safety information and instructions for use of the cable water-ski system to
every new client.
With around 200 clients on a hot day this is quite a strain on resources.

Now, clients may view the safety & induction DVD on a 42" screen in the comfort of the bar.
The cable water-ski team can now ensure that all of the necessary safety information has been delivered.

"Forum 4 Age"
Promotional DVD

Forum4Age was set up in 2007 to help people who are over 50 and living in Oldham to express their views regarding local services and support.

Christine contacted Reel 9 Media to follow the work of the forum over 3 months. Christine then commissioned us to pull the footage together into a short, sharp promotional video production to encourage new members, and highlight the great work of the forum.

Sue had a lot of her old video clips and voice excerpts lying around on VHS, DVD
and various other formats. 
We helped to clean them up and edit them into a short, snappy showreel to display her wonderful talents.

"The Wizard Of Oz"
Special Effects DVD Production

Mark approached us to recreate the tornado scene from the "Wizard of Oz"  with his own actors for their forthcoming production.
We shot "Auntie Em" and the "Wicked Witch of the West" before compositing the footage with that of the tornado, and finally adding sound effects.

DVD Production

Christine required a DVD production which would cover all aspects of using the gym equipment safely and productively. The DVD is used to train & induct students and gym clients

Skills @ Oldham offer apprenticeships for school leavers. While producing for The Oldham College, Paul followed six apprentices at work and also featured the views of their employers in this
10 minute promotional DVD.
1000 copies were produced.

Placements

Paul Wood produced this DVD for the BTEC National Diploma in Dance course. Originally shot in high definition, the video production utilises colour pass special effect processes.

The DVD is used by the college at various promotional events, including the launch of their "Young Professionals" marketing campaign.

The Oldham College

The AVCE fashion show is an annual event and was captured to DVD to highlight the great work that the fashion students had produced
during the year.
This was a multi-camera studio shoot that involved moving lights and "dry ice" effects.

The purpose of this production was describe and promote work experience for school pupils.

Paul followed six students across varied fields of work and edited the result down to a 10 minute DVD.
The DVD is used within schools to encourage other students to follow on and take up similar positions.

This production was shot in Manchester, London, Edinburgh, Glasgow, and Birmingham.
Paul recreated a "David Letterman" style chat show, where the MD of the company
was interviewed.

Through video, the MD could send his message in person, to all staff located around the country.
A telephone interview from the CEO in Singapore also featured in the production.

Global IT Training

This CD ROM was created to promote creative industries within the Oldham area.
It was developed to help launch the new library and life-long learning centre.

The video production featured an overview of creative industries in Oldham, and more detailed interviews with local businesses and key personnel.

The Curry Chef Competition is held annually, and Paul provided live video coverage, and
a promotional DVD of the highlights.
